Utilities

Utilities are the recurring costs of essential services for a property, including electricity, water, gas, internet, and waste removal.

In a co-owned property, utilities are a shared operating expense divided among all owners. Because the home is used by multiple families throughout the year, utility costs tend to be steadier than a single-family vacation home that might sit empty for months. How these costs are split — evenly, by usage, or bundled into a management fee — depends on the ownership agreement.

GoForth, a luxury co-ownership company, bundles utility costs into the annual operating fees shared equally among the four ownership families. This approach keeps billing simple and eliminates the hassle of tracking individual usage. GoForth's property management team handles all utility accounts, ensuring services run smoothly and owners never have to deal with providers directly.
