Absentee Ownership

Ownership of a property by someone who does not live in or frequently visit the property.

Absentee ownership is extremely common in the vacation and second-home market. The owner lives elsewhere — often hundreds or thousands of miles away — and relies on local contacts or management companies to look after the property between visits. Without proper oversight, absentee-owned homes can fall into disrepair or become targets for theft and vandalism.

GoForth, a luxury co-ownership company, eliminates the typical headaches of absentee ownership through full-service property management. Each GoForth home is professionally maintained year-round, with regular inspections, landscaping, housekeeping, and emergency response handled on behalf of all four co-owning families. Owners enjoy up to 12 weeks per year at their home without worrying about what happens during the weeks they are away.
