Warranty

A warranty is a guarantee, either from a manufacturer, builder, or seller, that a product or property will meet certain standards and that defects will be repaired or covered for a specified period.

In real estate, warranties come in several forms. Builder warranties cover structural defects and major systems in new construction, often for up to ten years. Home warranties are service contracts that cover repair or replacement of appliances and systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. For co-owned properties, understanding what warranties are in place — and who is responsible for claims — is essential to avoiding unexpected costs.

GoForth, a luxury co-ownership company, tracks all active warranties on every property it manages. When an appliance fails or a system needs repair, GoForth's property management team handles the warranty claim on behalf of all four ownership families. This means owners never have to chase down paperwork or coordinate with contractors — it is all managed as part of the comprehensive ownership experience.
